The Weekly Five 04/03/15: Stuff We’re Digging

#werediggingit; #periodicgoodness; "The Weekly Five 04/03/15: Stuff We're Digging" by Kat Kelly

Here’s what we’re loving this week. Awesome stuff from the Webisphere and the world. We hope you like it too. This week’s them is jams, candy, and cleaning up messes. Literally.

Check out our five picks for the week:

1. The Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner: One of the Vexteo team members (ahem, it was not Anna) made herself an iced mocha at home. We love our vintage green Ball jars and love to use them now, especially since they have a straw lid for the jars (more on those next time maybe). Well, the unnamed Vexteo team member made herself an iced mocha and headed upstairs to enjoy it. And not until she had walked from the kitchen, down the hallway, through the dining room, the living room, up the stairs, and into her office did we realize that the glass had cracked and like Hansel and Gretel she had left a pretty accurate trail of her mocha adventure trip. Here enters the Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner: half of the mocha trail was left on cream-colored carpet. We were pretty darn impressed that the Rug Doctor really works and there is no permanent evidence that a delicious chocolately beverage exploded in our house.

2. This:

If you missed Part 1 of the “Evolution of Mom Dancing,” enjoy it here:

I really love The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and I especially love when he and his celebrity du jour participate in something so silly. And the First Lady is no different–what a good sport.

3. Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs. Does more need to be said?

4.  The Vexteo gals like funny movies. We recently went through our DVD collection for a funny movie fix and came across this blast from 2007: Blades of Glory. It’s a ridiculous tale of two male figure skaters (Will Ferrell and Napoleon Dynamite’s Jon Heder) as they compete as a couple after being banned in the men’s singles category. Two things: we laughed out loud several times AND I stayed awake. That’s gotta count for something.

Enjoy the wonderfully awful trailer:

5. SPRING HAS SPRUNG! Here in Atlanta all of the dogwoods are in bloom, the tulips and daffodils have appeared, and our cars are covered in thick layers of yellow pollen. Hooray for seasonal allergies! No but really, it’s gorgeous outside and we’re excited to grill out and enjoy our backyard again. If you’re in town, you should definitely check out Atlanta Botanical Garden’s Atlanta Blooms exhibit. Kat and the baby went last week and were blown away by the gorgeous colors and thousands of bulbs that finally bloomed.

Those are some of the things that are getting us jazzed up this week.

Until next time…
